With no match for the First team our attention was on the Reserves who entertained bottom of the table Bramford Utd Reserves at Carlton Park.
Before kick off both teams and spectators observed a minutes silence in remembrance of those killed in the First World War.
It was Bramford who created the early chances with a shot that went wide and a header over the bar, but once we settled into the match we began to dominate play.
That domination lead to chances and the first goal soon came through Olly Seymour who beat the offside trap and ran through to score.
Shortly after, Jermaine Haynes made it 2-0 having a shot saved by the keeper but deflecting back off Jermaine to dribble over the line.
We soon made it 3-0 after Jermaine was caught in the penalty area and Olly slotted home the resultant penalty.
We continued to press and create more chances, with Jake Finch shooting just wide. Then, against the run of play, Bramford stole the ball just outside our box and scored a surprise goal. Half time 3-1.
We changed keepers at half time to give new keeper Dave Mazur his debut for the Club and, whilst he did not have much to do, he was called into action early in to tip a shot over the bar.
The pattern continued with us being on top for large parts and Olly completed his hat trick to make it 4-1.
Olly then proceeded to score two more, bringing his total to five for the afternoon and make the score 6-1.
More chances came and went, the most notable being Aidan Midwinter who hit the bar and then could not force the rebound over the line.
Credit to our opponents who kept going, and were rewarded with a second goal to make the final score line 6-2.
In summary, a dominant performance by the Reserves with Olly scoring five of our six goals.
Next week sees the First team in Junior Cup action away to Kirkley & Pakefield U23s, whilst the Reserves are also on the road to Mendlesham.
